Architectural Models
We like working with paper and making Architectural Models. These are small experiments and experiences which helps us to udnerstand the overall form, shape and order which we are lookign forward to. We do use 3D modelling platforms and sketches, but handmade models makes it so much more real that we can easily undersatnd what we are thinking and how we can make more things ebyond what we have built in paper, so we do use it as one of the stepping phases of our design development. This scaled model immensiely helps us in bridging the gap between a sketch and the actual design. So, this design phase is as important as the drawings and 3D renders.
What we makde in Architectural Models:
We love to develope conceptual models and craft them to suit and work for our projects. The models are developed for concept mass developement to detailed ones to explain our design better to our clients. We make fe models which are:
- External Building fascade which helps us to understand volume, scale and qualtiy of light and ventilation.
- Block models for understadning the overall shape and form of the structure
- Site context contour model with vegetaion, buildings, pathways, etc. This given an odeall idea of the prokect.
- Interior Models helps to understand the complex nature of elements combined together and how they work.
- Landscape Models are also very unique as it helps to understand the terrain of the land with paths and foliage.
Along with Sketching and computer 3D modelling, architectural models helps us visulaize the whole project holistically. We get better judgement in design and our client gets to see the overall design developement.
